Notice of Primary Election

The Primary Election will be conducted by mail and all registered voters in Mineral County will be mailed an absentee ballot. Voters will be able to mark their ballot at home and then return it by mail using a postage-prepaid envelope or by dropping it off in person at the Clerk's Office in Hawthorne. Absentee ballots must be dropped off in person by the close of polls on Election Day or postmarked by Election Day.

The Clerk's Office in Hawthorne, Nevada and the Tribal Court House in Schurz, Nevada will serve as polling places and will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

Voters are encouraged to confirm that their voter registration information is upto-date, including mailing address and political party affiliation now and not rely on the same-day registration process. Visit www.RegisterToVoteNV.gov to register to vote online or make updates to your existing voter record.

May 14, 2024 is the last day to register to vote, update registration or change party affiliation by mail or by appearing in person at the Mineral County Clerk's office.

May 15, 2024 – May 27, 2024 voters may register, update registration or change party affiliation of the Secretary of State's Internet Site.

May 25, 2024 -June 8, 2024 same day in-person registration at the Mineral County Clerk's Office in Hawthorne on election day.
