The Mineral County Parks & Recreation provides youth and adult programs, sports and activities. Park & Recreation has large facilities and gyms to enjoy. Our Young Citizens Activity Center (YCAC) located at 589 C Street has a large indoor basketball court as well as pool tables and large rooms for youth and adults to practice their activities.
Our parks include Lions Park located on the corner of Armory Rd. and 5th street. This park boasts a 1.5 mile well lit walking and exercise path, seasonal swimming pool, two playgrounds, tennis court, basketball court, horseshoe pits and a recently renovated baseball field.
On the corner of Highway 395 and 10th Street you will find our beautiful Veteran's Park. This park is a memorial to all who have served or are serving in our Armed Forces. The park is dog friendly and has comfortable tables and shaded structures to enjoy. A great place to stop if traveling through town. The huge American flag at Veterans Park is just one of the many reasons we are called "Americas Patriotic Home."
